Jerry Webb, 66, passed away at Olathe Hospice House on September 23, 2018. He leaves sisters Sharon Schmidt (David), Shawnee, KS; Linda Graff (Dan), Table Rock Lake in Missouri, and Susan Webb (Walt) of Tulsa, OK, as well as niece Becky Taylor (Shane), and nephews Ron (Kristi) and Stacy (Shelly). He also leaves great nieces and nephews Lauren, Ali, Bryan, Lexi, Katy, Lexy, Stella, Brendan, Devin, Charlie, Jacob, Connor, and Tanner. Jerry was preceded in death by both parents, Herb and Betty, as well as a younger sister, Carla Ann Deckard.
Jerry was an avid golfer and resided at Linn Valley Lakes, Linn Valley, KS. Jerry worked for the Blue Valley School District for 18 years and had recently retired. Jerry shared his Kansas Delaware Indian heritage through his great grandmother Anna Marshall Grinter, and just recently participated in the historical presentation and traditional Bean Dance of the Delaware at Grinter Fest. He was an organ donor. Midwest Transplant indicated Jerry’s donations will benefit over 50 people.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Linn Valley Lakes Clubhouse, Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 3-5 PM. Plan to wear your favorite golf, KU, Royals or Chiefs shirt to honor Jerry’s favorites. Bring your cart as we plan to take Jerry’s ashes for one final round at Linn Valley. Inurnment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Jerry’s family suggests donations to Olathe Health Charitable Foundation, 20375 W. 151st St., Suite 363, Olathe, KS 66061, as they took such wonderful care of Jerry in his last days.
