

John “Jack” William Hohenshell, Kansas City, KS, passed away August 16, 2015. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 4:00 p.m. on Tues., Aug. 18th at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK 66112. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Wed., Aug. 19th at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 15440 Leavenworth Rd., Basehor, KS 66007. Inurnment in Leavenworth National will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church or sent to a Country Club Bank branch in the name of “Jack Hohenshell Memorial Fund.”
Jack was born July 26, 1929 in Morris, IL, son of William and Gladys (Cronin) Hohenshell. He leaves his loving wife of 36 years, Margie (Holland) Hohenshell; three sons, C. Mark (Debbie), S. Craig (Jacque) and John M. (Christine); eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He graduated from Mazon High School in Grundy County, IL, where he lettered in basketball and later served in the Air Force for three years as a staff sergeant. Jack was a sales rep for Rensenhouse Electric Supply for 46 years before retiring in 1998. He was a co-founder of the WyCo Sports Assoc. and coached baseball for several years. Jack was a former member of Victory Hills, Dub’s Dread and Alvamar Country Clubs.
