John Webb Williams

John Webb Williams, 68, of Leavenworth, passed away October 21, 2017 at home surrounded by family. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm, Friday, October 27th at Chapel Hill – Butler, 701 N. 94th St., KCK, with graveside services at 10am, Saturday, October 28th at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

John was born January 26, 1949 in Atchison, Kansas to Robert and Virginia McLaughlin. He married the love of his life, LouAnn Proctor on November 29, 1976. John worked for many years as a heavy equipment mechanic and an over the road truck driver, he retired in 2015. He enjoyed working on cars, helping his friends and family stay on the road. John also raced dirt track cars. He loved watching the Chiefs and going to the casinos to play the slots. When he could, John enjoyed bowling and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Virginia; his brother, Tom Williams; and his sister, Penny Ann McLaughlin.

John is survived by his wife of 40 years, LouAnn Williams; his daughter, Christina Campbell; his son, Johnnie Williams and his wife Melissa; his grandchildren, Allyn, Amanda, and Alyssa Campbell, Corey, Jordon, Bryce, Jeremiah, and Cameron Williams; Miles and Chloe Brokaw, Alexis and Austyn Marshall, and Benjamin Proctor; his sisters, Debby Armstrong, Roberta Lough, Janet Payne (Kenny), and Vicky McLaughlin; as well as other relatives and friends.
