Joseph A. Dillman, "Joe", 81, a life long Kansas City metro resident, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2011. Funeral services will be 11am, Thursday, September 22, at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas with visitation starting at 10:00. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Joe was born Dec. 13, 1929, in Kansas City, Kansas to John & Christine (Buss) Dillman. His first job was delivering telegrams for Western Union on a bicycle. He later worked for Griffin Wheel and retired after many years as a carpenter. After retiring he worked part time at The Woodlands Racetrack.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents: John & Christine Dillman; wives: Patt Dillman, Francis Emert-Dillman and Alice Jones Dillman; brothers: Frank, Bernard, Marty and John Dillman; and sister: Virginia Haggard. He is survived by three sisters: Mary Ann Hays (Vernon) of Kansas City, Kansas, Tina Shawbaker of Willow Springs Missouri and Carol Hardy of Leavenworth, Kansas and many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
