She was the daughter of Elisabeth Rüssler Klein and Johann Klein and one of six children. In 1956, she married Franz Volk in Spay, Germany, and they shared a loving marriage until his passing on February 22, 2018. After her husband’s death, Katharina immigrated to the United States in 2019 to be near her daughters.
Katharina is survived by her three children:
Gebhard Volk (Sigrid) of Germany; Karin Super of Kansas City, Kansas; and Doris Britt (Don) of Denton, Texas.
She is also survived by her sister, Helene Klein, of Germany; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four siblings, one daughter-in-law (Ute Volk), and one son-in-law (Robert Super).
