Kenny retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 30 years and then went to work at a landscaping company and later Uhlig LLC before retiring again in 2016. He loved to spend time at the lake and enjoyed fishing, racing, golfing, crafting and cheering for the Kansas State Wildcats, Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.
After a long battle with cancer, he succumbed to his illness on July 5, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Dianne; daughters Katie Currie (Jasen) and Dainna Henik (Cody); grandchildren Rylee and LJ Currie; sister Joyce Jones (Kevin); as well as his niece and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at the Cider Hill Family Orchard Barn located at 3341 N 139th St Kansas City KS on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund for Trinity Family of Faith Lutheran Church, 16928 Evans Road, Basehor, KS 66007 or St. Jude's.
