One day at work, Larry handed me a note with a phone number on it and asked that I call this customer back as soon as possible.  I did, and it was a questionable hotline that i would never have called voluntarily.   So, while he was at lunch, I used clear tape to tape his phone receiver to the base, so that it was a one piece anchor that you couldn't answer.  Later when I was getting ready to leave, I went to my locker, as usual, and opened the door precipitating an avalanche of pop cans from within.  Luckily, Larry was still there working when I left that night.  As he chunked over the 4x4 piece of wood I hid behind his rear wheel, I'm sure he thought he'd just busted a differential.  Or.....maybe the car didn't move at all..............even better!  I was rather exposed at the front counter at work.  As such, I was sometimes like an arcade game for him.  The next day, he wadded up about 5 or 6 sheets of paper and ran up in front of the counter and took a shot.  In one of my more athletic softball moves, iI dodged the paper ball, scooped it up and nailed him with it, all in one fluid motion.  As he came up with it, he was looking down the hall, where my vision was blocked by a wall, he had a horrified look (like as if the boss was coming) and looked at me saying, "Dan, why would you do something like that?".........and at that moment the boss DID come into view and looked at me saying, "Dan, don't you have anything else you could be doing."  

Such was life with Larry.  After working with him for 34 years, I sure missed him when he retired.  He was a great guy, girls, and now he and his lady are together again.  We will keep you and the rest of your family in our prayers.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Larry's brother Merrill, sister Lynn and his daughters Rhonda and Shannon. May God help you find comfort and peace at this difficult time and know that he is with his soulmate, Aunt Linda once again. May you finally rest in peace Uncle Larry.

Hello Meulenthaler family, I know we haven't met but I worked at O'Halloran International with Larry about ten years ago.  When I was in high school I worked part time there answering phones and filing. I was actually just getting ready to send Larry a note with photos from his retirement party at O'Hallorans and was so sad to hear of his passing. I wanted to share a few memories I have of Larry with you. He quickly became one of my favorites at O'Hallorans and I also really enjoyed meeting and getting to know Linda. He loved her very much and also always talked so nicely of his two daughters. I remember that we liked to tease Larry about being late for work and when he retired we made this Top 10 List of Larry's excuses for being late. :) He and Linda gave me a little plant as a gift and I put it on the kitchen shelf by the window in my parents' house. It's still there (after about 12 years!) and growing little flowers all of the time. I think of Linda and Larry when I see it.  I am so sorry for your loss--Larry brought me many smiles.

I will will dearly miss my uncle, my heart goes out to the rest of the family for our loss.

Larry is now with his beloved wife Linda, walking hand in hand in eternal happiness with our Savior.  Sincere condolences to Shannon and Rhonda upon the loss of their Dad.  Agnes Pavicic
