Lois Dean Rumans

Lois Dean Rumans, née McBrayer, took this world by storm on November 5, 1949. Born to Forrest Reed McBrayer (1921-1994) and Lois Irene Dean (1930-2003) LD - as she like to be called - spent most of her life in Kansas & Missouri. LD has one half-sister, Teresa Ann McBrayer (1953-2014) and two half-brother, James Richard Pottet (1956-2014) & Jimmy Reed of Denton, Texas.

LD married Sherman Edward Reaves (1940-2000). In addition to helping raise two children from a previous marriage (Josephine Annettia & John Benjamin) they together had four children: Timothy Edward of Ohio, Tammy Lynn, Tina Louise and Karen Elaine of Missouri. Life wasn’t always easy, with bumpy roads along the way. But the one constant was our mother always loved us to the best of her ability.

In 1980 our mother married our step-father, William Abram Rumans (1948-2003).

Most people are blessed to find just one someone that their soul loves and yet after the passing of our step-father our mom found David Wilkey and as it is said, the rest is history.

Our mother loved. She loved anyone and everyone, and especially animals and talking. But the twinkle in our mothers’ eye was definitely put there by her grandchildren; Kristin Elizabeth, Keith Matthuew, Savannah Marie, Robert Ray, Kian Lee Abram, Seth-Thomas, Kailha Marissa and Grace Elaine; great grandchildren, Isaac Alexander, Aaron Ray Jr., Chase Levi, Aiden Lee, Bella Marie, Ember Rayne, Viktorya Lotus, Julietta Fae & William David Ray, Kyrie Madison, Amya Marie, Landon Ray, Skylin Harper, and Elijah Javier-Abram.

Our mother left this world on November 28, 2018. She has left us a legacy of love and family and will forever be remembered and always loved.
