

Malvina L. Adams, 95, Kansas City, KS passed away on October 2, 2021. Malvina was born on September 5, 1926 in Glasgow, Missouri to Robert and Lena (Gessling) Kottman. She graduated in 1944 from Glasgow High School and shortly thereafter moved to Kansas City. She started working for Southwestern Bell as an operator, was a lead during the divesture of Southwestern Bell as they transitioned to ATT and retired as an Engineer Supervisor from there in 1984.
Malvina married the love of her life, Louis Adams, Jr. on January 7, 1978. They were loyal morning walkers at the Oak Park Mall in the 1980’s where they looked forward to coffee with friends in the food court after a good walk. Together they spent many wonderful years traveling through most of the U.S., Mexico and taking cruises. Many road trips were spent in their RV. They spent summers in Kansas City and winters in Apache Junction, AZ where they met many wonderful friends. Malvina loved her family, an occasional trip to the casino and gardening. Up until this last spring, she was still gardening at The Piper, where she and Louis were living. Malvina also enjoyed her cars, she was seen cruising around town in her 1970’s Chevelle, her Camaro and most recent her Mustang.
Malvina was also a faithful volunteer at Providence Hospital, Lioness Club, CWA – Pioneer of ATT
Malvina was preceded in death by her first husband, William Albauer and stepdaughter, Loralyn Delich.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Louis; stepchildren, Neil (Gail) Albauer of Peculiar, MO, Louis Adams, III of Edwardsville, KS and Lisa (Dennis) Trowbridge of Kansas City, KS; brother, Garvin Kottman of Glasgow, MO; grandchildren, Neil Albauer, Jr. of Grandview, MO, Brian Albauer of Palm Springs, CA, Amy Lumley of Kansas City, KS, Katie Trowbridge of Tonganoxie, KS, Joe (Ashley) Trowbridge of Basehor, KS, Ashley Lumley of Bonner Springs, KS, Sarah (Gary) Neumann of Bonner Springs, KS, Adam Delich of North Kansas City, MO and Alex Delich of North Kansas City, MO; special niece, Linda (Carl) Newman; 20 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
A special thank you to Linda Newman for the many hours you spent helping with that occasional casino run, trips to doctors you made and everything else you have assisted with these past years.
