Mary was born and raised in Iowa and moved to Kansas for her first job. She worked as a secretary all her life and was known for her beautiful handwriting and her record keeping - and ALL her photos were labeled and in albums!
She married Joe Jenkins and they shared a love of dancing. They had one son, Robert (Bob). Mary's second husband was Harlan (Harry) Horsley.
Mary is survived by her son, Bob and daughter-in-law, Georgia of Warrensburg, MO. Her two grandsons: Seth (wife Maggie and son Moseley) of Warrensburg and Nathan (wife Elizabeth and children Annie, Joey and Thomas) of Cape Cod, MA. Mary loved her family and cherished memories of family dinners, baseball games, music, trips with her grandsons and all her pets over the years.
She lived the last year of her life in Warrensburg and died peacefully on August 10, 2023. Her caregivers at Ridge Crest Nursing Center and Three Rivers Hospice were her angels on earth. We will return Mary to Iowa where she will be near her parents' final resting place.
