

Morris Gardner, Jr., 61, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Providence Medical Center in Kanas City, Kansas. Services will be 10am Saturday, December 7th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8616 Haskell, Kansas City Kansas. Interment will take place at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Morris Gardner, Jr. was born to Lula Ruth Gardner and Morris Gardner, Sr. on January 4, 1952 in Greenwood, mississippi. The Lord closed the door to his life on Sunda, november 24, 2013. His parents, Lula Ruth Gardner and Morris Gardner, Sr.; (two brothers) Willie James Gardner, Jr. and Robert Earl Gardner; and (two sisters) Mary Lou Gardner and Louise Cobbs, preceded him in death.
Morris, better known as "Big Morse," was always full of life and laughter. He loved having fun and being around his family.
Morris graduated from Threadgill High School in 1969. He loved working on cars as a mechanic and telling jokes with everyone.
Morris leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Rosie Mae Gardner and a total of 12 children, (six daughters) Shirley Ann Gardner, Surene Crawford, Lillie Ruth Terry, Mary Taylor, Jennifer Taylor and Tina Taylor; (six sons) Morris Gardner III, Gregory Gardner, Maurice Crawford, Fredrick Crawford, Ronnie Morehead and Antonio Crawford; (sisters) Shirley Smith, Ida Mae Mcgee, Annie Ruth Turner, Eliza Meeks, Daisy Mae Sample, Rosetta Brown, Martha Gardner, Delores Gardner, Earnestine Sims and Lillian Gardner; (brothers) John Jones, Jerry Gardner, Frank L. Gardner and John M. Gardner; 24 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; as well as aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who will cherish their memories of Morris.
