

Otto Henley, Jr, 85, passed away December 21, 2014. A visitation will be held Friday, December 26th from 1:00-2:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 2:00PM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCKS. Interment with military honors will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorial donations to American Legion Post 188, 957 Osage Ave., KCKS 66105, or you may send flowers if you wish.
Otto was born April 16, 1929 to Otto, Sr and Sylvia (Jenkins) Henley in Eugene, MO. When Otto turned 16, he moved to Kansas City. He served during the Korean War from 1951-1953 and was a member of the American Legion Post 188. On October 30, 1985, Otto and Pam were joined in marriage. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for P.Q. Corporation and a member of the Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers Union for 40 years. He was also a longtime member of the 40 and 8 Society. Otto enjoyed dancing, gardening and loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog.
Otto is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pauline Schreimann; 2 brothers, Delmar & Vernon Henley; son, Michael Joseph Henley; and step-children, Diana Allen, James Richmond and Robert Richmond. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Pam Henley of the home; daughter, Melody (Shawn) Cox of Richmond, MO; son, Robin (Tracy) Henley of KCK; 5 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel Connor and many nieces, nephews and other family.
