Pat, Patricia Darlene Cady née Calhoon, was born to Wanetta and Oscar Calhoon on August 20, 1936 at the family home. She died July 30, 2022. Pat married David Cady in November of 1955. Together they shared many of the same interests including biking and fishing and entertaining among others. They were lifelong active energetic members of the Methodist Church.
Pat had a very wonderfully warm and welcoming personality. She sincerely cared about those around her. Her energy, wit and graciousness made her a wonderful hostess; a role she enjoyed very much. That same personality and intelligence made her a successful manager/business person at Russell Stover where she had a life-long career.
She leaves behind sister -Dee Childers, nephew-Bart Childers and grand nephew Alex Childers, nieces- Michelle Childers and Judy Cady-Lockwood and nephews -Nathan Creed and Dr. Mitchell Creed along with many dearly loved friends that were like family.
As a sister, an aunt, cousin or close friend she was a rock to rely on and a presence that brought something amazing and unique to all our lives. We miss you Pat!

Dave served in the air force during the Korean War. Dave and Pat were lifelong active members of the United Methodist Church. He spent most of his business life working in sales for Hygrade foods. Dave had a lifelong love of motorcycles and actively pursued that hobby all his life. He was an avid sportsman of hunting, fishing, and boating.
He was that "Fun" uncle that everyone should have. He taught us how to water ski, motorcycle, shoot skeet, play racquetball and make beef jerky. He was all around fun to hang with. You knew if you asked, he would help however he could. His skills as a mechanic were remarkable; everything he did, he did with enthusiasm, a will to learn, and a desire to share with others.
Most of all, he will be remembered and missed as a special brother-in-law, uncle, neighbor, and friend.
Services and burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Please gather at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Hill prior to that so can join the Patriot Guard procession to the Graveside.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.chapelhill-butler.com for the Cady family.
