Patricia "Patty" Kay Thomas

Patty K. Thomas, 65, of KCK, passed away April 25th at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday at Chapel Hill – Butler, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Sat., April 29th at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Patty was born Feb. 13, 1952 in Kansas City, KS to Frank Epson and Helen King. A lifelong Kansas City area resident, she grew up with ten siblings and attended Washington High School. Patty worked as a secretary and was lately an associate at Wal-Mart. She was an avid reader, especially romance novels; and loved her pets. Patty had two pets in the house and all the strays in the neighborhood new they could find a little meal at her home. She was deeply devoted to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jacob Thomas; three brothers, Martin, Frankie, and William King; and one sister, Donna Rachoza.

Patty is survived by her children, Nicholas Thomas, and Elizabeth Thomas (Eric Yantz); her siblings, Mary Walls, JoAnn Martin (Bruce), Roxanne McDaniel, John King, and Judy Tavener (Ed); as well as her grandchildren, Schyanne Corbin, Dominic Amayo, and Peyton Thomas and many other relatives and friends.
