Roger Lee Marx, 70, of Mission, Kansas, passed away suddenly at home June 7, 2018. Funeral services will be 10:00am, Tuesday, June 12th at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Interment with Honors will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Roger was born April 24, 1948 in KCK to Matthew and Cleta Marx. He graduated from Argentine High School and was drafted into the Army in 1967. Roger served in Okinawa during the Vietnam War as a Radio Relay and Carrier Operator, and was Honorably Discharged in 1969. He married the love of his life, Melinda Blythe on September 20, 1969. Roger worked for ADT for 13 years and retired from the KCK School District as a Janitor in November, 2006. He enjoyed woodworking, building, and coached a little league baseball team in his spare time.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Gary, Bruce and Ronnie Marx; and his sister, Theresa Moreland.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Melinda Marx; his sons, Shane Marx (Whitney), and Steven Marx (Charleen); and his five grandchildren, Dylan, Korbin, Cora, Ethan, and Elaine Marx.
