Scott had a handful of jobs in his life, most recently the last 7 years with Procter and Gamble as an operator making Dawn dish soap. Scott was the rock of his family and was always willing to help with any task thrown his way. Most days, you could find Scott tinkering around his garage working on a project, a car or just sitting in his driveway enjoying the day. Scott had a passion for smoking BBQ and formed Low Budget BBQ and Chili along with his brother-in-law and cousin. Honing his craft, Scott became known for his pork butt and side dishes. Scott’s greatest love was his family. When nieces and nephews played sports, Uncle Scott was there cheering them on. Scott loved spending time with his family, just enjoying their company and sharing stories. There was never a dull moment with him in your presence. He was never afraid to crack a joke or share a story; you just knew time spent with Scott was going to be entertaining. If you needed something, Scott would make sure that you had it and more. Family and friends are going to miss his humor, his love, and his servant heart.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Jim Alderson. He is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Day and husband Charles Day. His daughter, Autumne Heffernen. His sister and brother-in-law, Kelly & Brandon Bartels, niece Lindsey and nephew Bryan. Brother and sister-in-law, Bryce and Nicole Alderson, niece Madilyn, nephews Landon and Cortland.
