

Stephanie D. (Klements) Coleman, 98, of Kansas City, MO, passed away November 30, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2013 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Highway 9, Kansas City, MO 64152. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. preceding the service at the church. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Highway 9, KC, MO 64152.
Stephanie was born January 19, 1915 in Kansas City, KS to Lawrence (Klemencic) and Helen (Dragush) Klements. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School. Stephanie was a member of the St. John’s choir and the Tamburitzens. She married Richard E. Coleman, Jr. on November 22, 1939. Stephanie was a current member of St. Therese Catholic Church. She was a prior member of St. John the Baptist, Blessed Sacrament, and St. Patrick Catholic Churches before moving to Kansas City, MO. She was a Eucharistic minister at Blessed Sacrament from 1981-84. Stephanie and Richard were members of the TWA Seniors Club and she belonged to several Catholic Seniors groups. She worked in the garment industry and as a seamstress at Rex Art and Flint/Rex Art Casket Companies from 1952-78, when she retired.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard; her son Richard, III; her granddaughter, Jenny; as well as siblings, Helen Lister, George Klements, Betty Koch, Louise Strumillo and Bernice Clark.
She is survived by her sister, Edith Accardo; daughter, Betty DuPaul and her husband Ron as well as eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family.
