Alberta McGee, 98, passed away on January 21, 2011. Services will be held on Thursday, January 27, at 2 p.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery. Alberta was born January 13, 1913 in Tonganoxie, Kansas to Mary Elizabeth Bell Morgan and John Riley Morgan. In 1935, she married Russell McGee. They had a daughter, Mitzi. Alberta was a sales associate for J.C. Penney for 18 years and a member of North Kansas City Christian Church since 1949. She is preceded in death by Russ and Mitzi, brothers Howard and Marvin Morgan, and sister Cyrena Benecke. She is survived by sister, Mary Gosoroski, and brother, George Morgan. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Mitzi McGee Scholarship at the UMKC School of Pharmacy.
