Alice Mary Holst, of Grandview, MO, born January 6, 1930 in Glidden, Iowa to Edward & Teresa Dozler, passed away June 9, 2016 at Research Medical Center. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Silas Holst, son Roger Holst and his wife Rebecca of Grandview, MO, and daughter Mary Wessling and her husband Raymond of Kansas City, MO. Other surviving relatives include four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom live in the Kansas City area. Alice was blessed with the gifts of care taking and hospitality and always thought of others before herself. Her hobbies included cooking, crocheting, camping and spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors. She was preceded in death by her son Steven Holst.
Memorial visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Inurnment in Garden Walk of Memories, Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
