Alice M. Sparks, 90, of Cape Canaveral, FL, formerly of Independence, MO, passed away surrounded by family on June 10, 2014. Graveside service will be 10am, Tuesday, June 17, at Floral Hills.
Alice "Sparky" worked in sterile processing for over 30 years at Independence Regional Center. She resided in Independence for 50 yrs., before moving to Florida in 2002.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, and two sons, Gary and Larry. She leaves behind her children, Judy Sparks, Sheila (Skip) Taylor and Ronnie Sparks; grandchildren, Kimberly Sparks, James Sparks, Brent Taylor, Ashley Byrd and Jamie Roberts; 11 great grandchildren; brother Glenn Newman; and sister Ivie Vaughn.
