Allan Dewayne Jones, 67, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully December 30, 2015. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 2, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Cardiac Hospice.
Allan was born January 13, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri. He served 11 years as a Navy Seal with three tours of duty in VietNam. He was preceded in death by his parents Alva Dewayne and Betty Jean Jones. Allan is survived by his wife Jane Jones; children Amy Woolf (Kris), Dana Nible, Jason Jones and Nikki Jones; stepchildren Cami Ning (Billy), Justin Caplan and Tina Roth (Stephen); brothers and sisters John Jones (Nada), David Jones (Georgie), Linda Childers (Larry), Kathy Jones, Betty Riley (Ray), and Inez Stewart-Groveton (Matt); numerous nieces and nephews; longtime friend and mother of his children Theresa Whitney; his 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
