Papa
Alvin Wesley Schornhorst of Independence, was born to Henry and Lilian Schornhorst September 4, 1950 peacefully passed away on December 22, 2020 at age 70. Wesley was an amazing and loving husband, dad and papa. He was always ready to help any one of his children or grandchildren, even if it meant he went without. His favorite things to do were “junking” and being ornery.
To know Papa was to love him and he will be greatly missed by many. Wesley was preceded in death by both of his parents, wife, Peggy Jean Schornhorst, son, David Scott Waldon, and 2 grandsons, Adam Scott Waldon and Nicholas Anthony Robinson. He is survived by 4 daughters, Toika Crain, Brooke Martin, Bridy Thompson and husband Chris, and Brianne Burditt and husband, Drew, multiple grandchildren: Sara, Dustin, Ian, Austin, Bailee, Tara, Zach, Tyler, Britny, Codey, Madison, Abigail, Jayla, Korion, and Navy and 4 siblings. The family is asking for donations in lieu of flowers to help cover expenses.
