Anna Marie Olson

Anna Marie Olson, a thoughtful, kind-hearted, and loyal individual, passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on February 1, 1936, in Freeman, Missouri, Anna was a beloved resident of Raytown, Missouri.

Anna was a proud member of the Pleasant Hill High School Roosters class of 1954, where she cherished her time, actively engaging with her core group of friends. During high school, she worked at a drugstore soda fountain. Following her graduation, she moved to Kansas City and began her career as a secretary for the Grolier Society of Kansas City.

In 1955, Anna married Delmar Adrian Olson, with whom she shared 65 wonderful years until his passing. Together, they raised two beautiful daughters, Cynthia Diane (Jon) and Shelley Marie. Anna was also blessed with four grandchildren, Nickolas, Adrian (Trixie), Katelynn, and Paige, as well as great-grandchildren Briasia, Adrian (Jr.), Preston, Scarlett, Vivian, and Hudson.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her two older brothers, and her husband, Dell.

A visitation will be held on October 13, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, located at 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. The funeral service will follow from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the same location. Committal will take place from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, where Anna will be laid to rest in Block 18, Lot 348, Space 5.

Anna Marie Olson will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, kind heart, and unwavering loyalty to her family and friends as well as her ornery and spunky personality. She always greeted you with a wink.
