

Anne Brady Cooper, 94, of Lee’s Summit, MO died Sat., June 22, 2013 at home. Visitation Tues., June 25th from 6-8pm at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel with prayer service at 7:30pm. Mass of Christian burial 10am Wed. at Our Lady of the Presentation (130 NW Murray Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO). Entombment following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Anne was born on Dec. 21, 1918 in Savannah, GA to Thomas & Nellie Brady. She worked at a military base during WWII in Savannah, GA traveling to St. Louis, MO to work for the US Army Record Center. Anne met & married John L. Cooper on Aug. 13, 1949. She transferred to the Federal Record Center in KCMO then left work in 1950 to raise & care for her four children. She returned to work & later retired from the Social Security Administration in KCMO. Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John, on Dec. 23, 1999. She is survived by her children, Jerry Cooper of Lee’s Summit, MO, Diane Smith (Gary) of Lawrenceville, GA, Sheila Bailey (Frank) of Lee’s Summit, MO & Jeanne Richins (Ralph) of Lee’s Summit, MO; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and her sisters, Rose Carter of Savannah, GA & Mary Louise Larison of Brookhaven, PA.
