Born to Frank and Anna Randazzo in South Kansas City, she remained there her entire life.
Anne was a graduate of Center Senior High School, then went on to receive her Registered Nurse certificate from Research Hospital - School of Nursing in Kansas City. Early in her career, she worked as an emergency room nurse at Research Hospital, then followed in her mother Kay's footsteps, becoming the school nurse at South City View Elementary, and later Center Senior High School. She would eventually leave school nursing to work for private practice physicians until she retired after 37 years of compassionate service.
Anne was an avid traveler visiting all 50 states, Mexico, Canada, Italy, France, England, and China. She loved to dance and listen to music of all kinds. She maintained a special fondness for all things Disco and the rock band Queen. She volunteered time to many of her son's activities, serving as Cub Scout Den Mother, an Assistant Basketball Coach, and a High School Booster Club member.
She is preceded in death by her husband David G. Headen, parents Frank Randazzo, Anna (Kay) Randazzo, Claude Headen Jr., and Hester Headen. She is survived by children (Son) Eason Pritchard and his wife, Kelli Pritchard, Timothy Headen, and Shayna Collette. She was a loving grandmother to Catherine Pritchard, Christopher Pritchard, Emma Pritchard, Jackson Robbins, Tanner Headen, Ryanne Stevens, Mikaylin Collette and Cassidy Collette and a "Partner in crime Sister" to Claudia and Klaus Gruenwald.
Anne was incredibly fun-loving, generous, and a consummate Italian mother. She loved to make others laugh with her wry sense of humor and use of carefully crafted "Potty-talk". To know her was to love her. She was as magnetic as she was beautiful, and an incredible light to all.
A private graveside service will be held at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024.
In place of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Special Olympics (Missouri).
