With his loving wife of 52 years by his side, along with all of the support of his family and friends, Bennett Clark Boyer made the journey to join our Lord on January 20, 2012. The son of Thomas J. Boyer and Theresa Boyer was born in Kansas City, MO on September 30, 1940. As a young boy he attended Ladd Elementary, Central High School, and graduated from Westport High School in 1958. Bennett married Carolyn Scott on July 3, 1959 and they enjoyed 52 wonderful years together. Together they raised two sons, Bradley Alan and Stephen Scott Boyer. Bennett was a very hard working, faithful loving husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He worked for the United States Postal Service and retired after 26 years of service as a letter carrier. His sense of humor, love of laughter and wonderful stories will be missed by all. His passing will leave a deep void for all who were fortunate enough to spend time with Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Thomas and James Boyer, and a sister Vanessa. Besides his loving wife Carolyn, Bennett leaves behind two sons Bradley Alan Boyer of Sacramento, CA and Stephen Scott Boyer and his wife Vicki of Shawnee, KS; four grandsons Justin Boyer and his wife Liz, Jared Boyer and Jordan Boyer of Sacramento, CA, Brandon Boyer of Shawnee, KS; one granddaughter Stephanie Boyer of Shawnee, KS; and two great-granddaughters Madelyn and Sierra Boyer of Sacramento, CA.
