Betty Jane Greenwood of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully of natural causes at the age of 90 on May 21, 2022. She was born to the late George and Helen Reardon on December 28, 1931 in Argentine, Kansas. Betty attended and graduated from Bishop Ward High School. She worked in a soda shop during her teen years and also worked as a telephone operator. Her hobbies included ceramics; raising African violets, knitting, playing Bunco and she also loved working crossword puzzles. She was also an avid bowler and bowled on a league for many years.
Betty married Zina Leon Greenwood on April 18, 1952. They celebrated 54 years of marriage before her husband passed away in January, 2006. In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Reardon; her father, George Reardon; and her brother, Donald Reardon. She is survived in death by her four children; Glenda K. Sellars of Kansas City, MO; Terry L. Greenwood of Kansas City, KS; Cheryl J. Sanchez of Houston, TX; and, Karen A. Greenwood of Overland Park, KS. Betty is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
