Betty Wald

Betty Wald, 91, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 1st, 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes, Kansas City, MO, with burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the mass. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

Betty was born May 31, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois. She married Gerald Wald, September 13, 1945 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, and her brother, Lawrence R. Minton. Betty is survived by her six children; John Wald, Dee Anne (Timothy) Kelley, Marie Deborah Wald, Charles E. (Sonja) Wald, Karen (Dan) Drake, Kevin (Sherry) Wald; a sister, Mary Akins; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
