Carie was born September 23, 1973 to Dianna and Tom Miskell in Seattle, Washington. She is survived by her parents; brothers Chris Miskell (spouse Charlsanne) of Senoia, Georgia and Ryan Miskell (Spouse Amber) of Raymond, Washington, her nieces Rylee, Maddy, Maci and Stevie Miskell.
A graduate of Kent Meridian High School, Highline Community College, and Central Washington University with a degree in Accounting. Carie spent her last few years being what she was most proud of, a giving and loving aunt.
Carie was truly a brave woman and fought many battles that most are not even aware of. She always kept an amazing disposition and a drive to persevere. Every challenge Carie encountered she put up a fight until she succeeded.
Carie also enjoyed traveling which during her time at Weyerhaeuser she was given many opportunities to travel to Mississippi and Louisiana. In the last few years she also spent time visiting with her brothers and their families when they lived in Las Vegas, Alaska, Illinois and Georgia. You never had to ask Carie twice if she wanted to go somewhere, she was generally the first one packed and in the car ready to head to the airport. One of the family’s most recent memories of traveling with Carie was being able to take her this past December on a Cruise and also to Disney World. Although she was not 100% with ongoing physical and medical issues, she made the most of the trip and enjoyed every moment of it. She took the opportunity and embraced it by trying things she had never had the chance to do prior, whether it was a new food or snorkeling in the ocean.
Carie was also one of the most generous women you would have ever met. She may not have had much, but she was rich in the fact that she had a family who loved and taught her how to give and love others with open arms and a huge heart. In fact the last few months of her life she had been helping with a local food bank on a monthly basis.
Carie will live forever in our hearts and we all look forward to the time when God calls the rest of us home so that our family will be whole again.
Arrangements under the direction of Mt Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, Kansas City, MO.
