Carl J. Olsen, Jr., 82 passed away June 4, 2016. Carl was born April 20, 1934 in Fredikstad, Norway. He is the son of Carl J. Olsen, Sr., and Sanna Nigaard. Carl served his country in the United States Army and his church as an LDS missionary. He married Betty Swann on June 30, 1993. Carl was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS. He is survived by his wife, Betty; one brother, William Olsen (Turid); eight children, Janet Hailstone (David), Gordon Olsen (Kikuko), Karen Nakaniwa (Akinori), Jorgen Olsen (June), Delsie Olsen, Pamela Swann, Elizabeth VonLintel (Bruce) and James Swann; twenty two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS in Kansas City.
