

She was born January 14, 1920 in Rosedale, Kansas, to George and Carlotta Smith. She graduated from Northeast High School, Kansas City, and worked during WWII at North American Aviation. Following that, she worked at Sears Roebuck and Co. until she married the late Francis (“Ed”) Moore, a man she found extremely handsome, in 1951. She will be remembered for her caring and nurturing spirit, loyalty to her sons, and bright smile and wit.
Pat is survived by son Francis(“Frank”) Moore and wife Linda of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; son Lewis (“Joe”) Moore and wife Dorsey of Arlington, Texas; granddaughters Sarah Moore (David Barnett); Emily Moore; Jessica Schirmer (Michael); and Cassie Wendel (David); great-grandchildren, Cailin, Addyson, Margot, Callum, Makenzy, Samuel and Marli; and her final companion, cat Goldie. She leaves behind many loving friends and family members including her beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Ed; her siblings, Roy Smith and Alice Hankins; and great-grand-daughter Lainey Schirmer.
A visitation will be held from 9-10 AM, service 10 AM, on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO. Burial will take place at Mt. Washington Cemetery, 614 S Brookside Ave, Independence, MO.
