He was born on April 11, 1955 to Jarrett H. and Gladys F. Jones. His only son Anthony M. Jones and sister Jacqueline Thompson (Earl) preceded him in death.
Mr. Jones, attended E. C. Merservey Elementary School; Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School and Paseo High School in Kansas City, MO. He went on to worked in the construction industry as a Carpenter and Bricklayer dedicating 15 years in the commercial industry. His work contributed in the building of many construction projects in the Downtown Kansas City Missouri area. Mr. Jones was an avid reader his hobbies included gardening and training animals. Although never mastered over his lifetime he studied languages and piano.
In his early life was raised in the Methodist Church and attended Bethel A.M.E. church at 24th and Flora. As an adult, Cecil attended Paradise Missionary Baptist Church both in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mr. Jones leaves his memories to cherish by his daughters Candace Brown, Katherine Brown and Samaria Brown and a host of grandchildren all of Kansas City Missouri. Two brothers Jarrett O. Jones/Donna and Darrell Jones/Alesia of Kansas City Missouri as well as his sister Mary Bowie of Atlanta, Georgia.
