Charles Wesley “Chuck” Burt, 84, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on August 23, 2013 at Wilshire at Lakewood Care Center. He was born on December 23, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas to Charles R. and Ellen (Allen) Burt. He was an Army veteran of the Korean era. Chuck was preceded by his wife of 65 years, Shirlee Burt, on July 7, 2013. Chuck’s survivors include son, Dudley Burt; daughters, Candy Vannice-West (Douglas) and Cindy Leonard-Williams (Rick); niece, Ginger Jones; grandchildren, Matt Leonard, Craig Leonard (Erin), Nick Leonard, Wesley Burt, Charlie Burt; great-granddaughter, Vivian Leonard.
A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 27 at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday August 28 at the funeral home with private burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
