Charles Ernest "Ernie" Shivers, age 91, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away on October 21, 2022.

Ernie was born March 5, 1931 in Indepence, Missouri to Charles Ernest Shivers, Jr. and Anna Martha (Bentrupe) Shivers.

Ernie was a member of the Church of the Resurrection. He was a great father, husband and grandfather. He worked for Sears for 21 years and then worked for Aztec, Pennington Seed and The Grass Pad. He worked as a crossing guard for a few years during his retirement.

He is survived by son Robert E. Shivers, daughter Diane L. Smith and grandchildren Justin Barnheart, Brett Shivers, Bonnie Barnheart and Jason Barnheart.

A memorial service for Charles will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131.
