Her first job after graduating high school was at Colorado Union National Bank as a bookkeeper working there for a brief time, and then shortly after she got married to the love of her life Jim on Dec. 27, 1952. Charlotte and Jim were proud to raise three daughters here in Kansas City.
While her children were young, she worked seasonally at Internal Revenue Service of Kansas City. Later in life she worked as an Assistant Activities Director for various nursing homes in south KC. As one of the founding members, she was an active member of Holmeswood Baptist Church. Through the years she was a member of the church choir; she and others helped establish the church daycare. She and her husband were counselors of the youth group at their church, traveling with the group on yearly mission trips. Many of the youth boys looked up to her during these trips as their mom away from home. She also performed in various skits at church, from a serious Lottie Moon global missions, to a rapper for the senior citizen church group called Anchors. She enjoyed going to Anchors, monthly devotional meetings, and afterwards loved participating in Bingo.
Surviving family members include her loving husband Jim; daughters, Terry Vleisides, Cindy Drake (Kyle Drake), Paulette Seidelman (Joel Seidelman); 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
