I was saddened to read of Christy's death. My sincere condolences to all of the Murphy family.  It has been a long time since my days at Shawe, but I do remember the joy and enthusiasm that the twins showed in my class.  I also remember the kind support that Joyce expressed to me when I encountered difficulty.  May our Lord give you His peace during this difficult time.

It is such a terrible loss for our family, she was an inspirational person, a happier person I have never known.  My son Alex adored her, we all loved her very much.  It just breaks our hearts that she is not with us anymore. She was so thoughtful and she used her income to give back to her students - her kids.  If they only knew how much she loved each and every one of them, she talked about them all the time and how much she enjoyed teaching.  She helped Alex learn to read. Such a selfless and helpful person, thoughtful, caring, considerate, energetic, fun loving, truly joyful.  She loved her family and got such joy from being with them, she talked of her mom and sister, nieces and nephews all the time.  She was a truly loving and lovely person.  If everyone could be just a little more like her the world would be a perfect place. We will miss her terribly.

My deepest sympathy to the Murphy family and all who knew and loved Chris. I will always remember her smile and her zest for life. My prayers are with those she left behind.

I worked with Chris at Johnson Elementary.  I think it was the first year that the school was open.  The thing I remember most about her was her excellent attitude.  She was so cheerful, despite the fact that our first year at Johnson was very challenging.  My deepest sympathy to her family and to her friends at Burke.

Ms. Murphy was my fourth grade teacher at Johnson elementary .. She influenced my life so much. I am 24 now and can think of so many fond memories. My heart goes out to her family she touched so many lives and I hope they can find strength in the good she has done.

I worked with Chris at Johnson Elementary School in the Hickman Mills school district.  I found her to be a very caring teacher to every child she worked with.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I taught Chris in my Baker graduate class and enjoyed knowing her immensely.  She was a wonderful teacher who will truly be missed.

To Chris Murphy s family. I met Chris at Santa Fe Elementary.Chris was a wonderful teacher.Please accept my sympathy.

I was devastated when I heard the news. I just talked to her weeks ago about filling in for her when she was away. She took down my information to call me. I knew her since 2008 at Sante Fe, and she was what I would call a fun teacher that had a unique style of teaching, any student would know their stuff, but also know at the same time that they had a teacher that cared about them, too. She was very smart. She had a soft voice, great spirit, and great smile. She loved the kids she taught. I loved talking to her. I can still hear her talking. One day, hopefully, I will see her again. She will be missed. I will miss her.

Tim & Joyce - I am so very sorry for your loss and for your pain.  Praying your strength in our Risen Lord will sustain you in your time of grief.
