Connie Lee Joyce

Connie Lee Joyce, 77, of Independence Missouri has hung her apron for the last time and gone to be with our Lord and Savior and her loved ones on July 4, 2022.

She was born September 1, 1944 in Kansas City Missouri to John L. & Gracie Prince. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1962.

She married Harold R. Joyce on November 18, 1966. They had four children and 6 grandchildren that were the light of her life. Connie is survived by her children: John (Amy) of Independence MO, Susie (Joe) Couch of Springdale AR, Rick Joyce of AR and Michael Joyce of Oklahoma and her 6 grandchildren, Dakoda, Emily, Stacy, Casey, Mindy and Cindy. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her parents and her brother Gary Prince.

She worked in the banking industry and was a homemaker. Later in life worked at Catherine’s until her retirement in 2014.

She was an active committee member for the Boy Scouts of America Troop 492 and enjoyed all things in nature and wildlife. She had a great love for birds and dogs. She also loved cooking and collecting cookbooks. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and had many outings with them. Connie was a mother to everyone and no matter where she went she wanted to take care of others. She loved her family wholeheartedly.

Visitation will be held July 12, 2022 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. And memorial services will be held July 12, 2022 at 2:00pm in the chapel at Newcomers Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd. Kansas City MO 64133 with internment to follow.
