Constance Jean McGuire

Constance (Connie) Jean McGuire, age 80, passed away unexpectedly in her home in Kansas City, Missouri, on October 25, 2024. Connie was born on January 21, 1944, in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Park Hill High School in 1962 and went on to attend Central Missouri State University. Connie met Carlton (Jim) James McGuire in high school, and they were married in 1964. They welcomed their daughter, Michele, in 1964 and their son, Michael, in 1966.

Connie had a talent for interior design and cherished spending time with her many wonderful friends, but her true passion was creating memories with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her sister, Sharon Logan; her brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Joan Gilmore; her sister-in-law, Judy Bohlken; her daughter, Michele Bowers; and her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dana McGuire; Her grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Rachel Bowers, Andy and Megan Goudy, Doug Bowers, Tyson McGuire, and Tucker McGuire; and her great-grandchildren, Callie Holwick, Emilee Bowers, and Claire Bowers; as well as numerous nephews and nieces also survive her. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim McGuire, and her son-in-law, Rick Bowers.

A Celebration of Life for Connie is scheduled for Saturday, November 16, from 4:30–6:00 p.m. at Priscilla and Dana’s School of Dance in NKC.
