Craig T. Smith, 55, of Overland Park, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 10, 2010. Craig was a generous man with great love for his family, friends, church and charities. He lived his faith with compassion for others and served as Elder for Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church. He was an avid reader, a history buff, and loved to travel. He was a devoted and proud father who never missed a soccer game. He received his J.D. and L.L.M. from the University of Missouri-K.C. and spent his career as senior attorney in the telecommunications industry, most recently with CenturyLink. Craig is survived by his wife of 27 years Diane, son Christopher, parents Tommy and Shirley Smith, sister Karen Smith, brother and sister-in-law Gerry and Eileen Dewar, and nephews Brent and Mark Dewar. Craig’s life will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church located at 9300 Nall Avenue, with a reception following at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Rolling Hills or Harvesters. Arrangements under the direction of Mount Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, Kansas City, Missouri.
