Craige was born in Lansing, Michigan to Roger and Mary Louise (Burr) Everest and was one of four children who later moved to Kansas. His mother passed away when Craige was just 13 years old, and he went on to get his GED and later started his own masonry business. Craige was well known for his talent in his profession and he touched many people through his work.
Craige married Nancy Anne (Bullock) Everest on May 14th, 1983 and had two wonderful boys, Matthew and Jacob Everest. He was a loving father who was always at soccer practice with them as well as coaching the team. He participated in scouting with each of them and they both went on to become Eagle Scouts. These two boys were truly his pride and joy.
He is survived by his sons, Matthew and Jacob Everest, ex-wife Nancy Everest, of Mission, Kansas, brother, Roger Everest, of Overland Park, sister, Jeannine Boss and her husband Pete, of Lucas, TX, sister Janet Norman, of Nevada, Missouri and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
