Cindee was born on May 23,1958 in Greenville, MS to Clyde & Virginia McConnell. They moved to Kansas City, MO where Cindee attended Lakewood Elementary School, Eastgate Middle School and Winnetonka High School class of 1976. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at William Jewell College in 1981. She started her nursing career at Baptist Medical Center in Kansas City with 10 years of service. She then joined North Kansas City Hospital where she helped opened the Acute Rehab Unit. She also ran stroke support groups for about 10 years at NKCH. She retired in 2015, after 25 years of service to patients at North Kansas City Hospital.
Cindee enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband, Bill. Some of her favorite trips include Hawaii, Alaska, Florida, the Northeast, and numerous road trips all around the country.
Cindee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend to many. Cindee loved giving gifts and spoiling those she loved. She is described as so sweet, she did not have a mean bone in her body.
Cindee was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Franklin & Virginia Olive McConnell, her sisters Virginia Ann McConnell and Marilynn Kay Ingels and her brother Kevin Joseph McConnell. She is survived by her loving husband William “Bill” Martin Shultz, her sons Scott McConnell (Amanda), Andrew Schultz (Megan) & William “Matt” Schultz (Natalie), her sisters Kathleen Irene McConnell, Jeanne Marie Tyson (Paul), and brothers Clyde “Mac” Franklin McConnell Jr, Keith Francis McConnell (Alanna) & Michael Scott McConnell (Theresa), 3 grandsons (Anthony, Jayce, & Liam), a granddaughter (Adeline) and several nieces and nephews.
The Rosary will be prayed on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 8:30AM at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Rd, Kansas City, MO 64119. A visitation will follow until 10:30AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00AM at St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 4737 N Cleveland Ave, Kansas City, MO 64117. There will be a luncheon following the funeral mass at St. Gabriel. Then the committal service is scheduled at 2:00PM at Mt Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64138.
