Danny J Moore was born on June 7, 1935 in Connersville, Indiana to Daniel Boone Moore and Emily Rowland Moore. Danny was the seventh of ten children. Danny was a 1954 graduate of Connersville High School. He married Rosalie Sue Sherwood on April 21, 1956 and fathered five children, Susan Grube of Kansas City, Mo, Danette (Paul) Buchanan, of Beaverton, OR., Ramona (Mark) Shelp of Independence, MO., Raymond (Kirsten) Moore of Olathe, KS., and Joe (Katrina) Moore of Raymore, MO. Danny and Rosalie have 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Danny was an expert lithographer, a successful small business owner, a talented craftsman, a dedicated churchman and a lover of God. Danny loved to bowl, loved sunny Florida and loved to talk about sports. He was a friend to everyone he met and especially reached out to the down and out. He was a faithful husband, father, grandfather, uncle, son and brother. Danny was employed by the Haley Press, the Copeland Press, the Nazarene Publishing House, McWhirter’s Press, and the Dedicated Press.
Danny will be deeply missed and remembered for his wide smile, his animated stories, his tender heart, his big hugs, his sense of humor, his talent for inventing and fixing things and his unwavering love for his wife and family. Our lives are richer as we remember his life and legacy.
