

Darrell Rex Woolley, Jr. went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2025. Rex was born in San Diego, California on July 24, 1956 to Darrell and Martha Woolley. He grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Winnetonka High School and received a degree from Northwest Missouri State University in business and marketing. He had a long career in sales. For fifteen years he co-owned Olathe True Value Hardware. He went on to work at Terrace Park Funeral Home where he truly enjoyed working with families.
Rex and his wife, Cheryl, met in college and were married for 45 years. They had a home at the Lake of the Ozarks which they called their sanctuary. They loved being outdoors, on the lake and hiking. They also loved to cruise and took many wonderful trips together.
Rex and Cheryl were foster parents for two girls before adopting their boys. Family, church and serving on their HOA board were things Rex enjoyed.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Martha Woolley. He leaves his wife, Cheryl Ann Woolley; and family, Joshua Woolley, Tyler Woolley, and Christina Smith.
Visitation will be held 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at McGilley Antioch Chapel followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church at 1441 NE Englewood Rd. Kansas City, MO 64118.
