David Armendariz

David was born June 3, 1983 in Kansas City, Missouri to Olivia (Coronado) and Johnnie Armendariz. David was a life-long member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Church, one of his many volunteer vocations.

David was fiercely devoted to his church and his family and friends. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, The Price is Right, Fireball shots, dancing like no one was watching, and his dog Lolah. David would want to remind us all to love one another, never hold hate in your hearts, don’t be stingy with food, and to help those in need.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret and David Armendariz; great grandmother, Maria; and niece, Savannah. David is survived by his siblings, Rebecca, John, Sara, JJ, Joseph, Paul, Patrice, and Marie; nieces and nephews, Ricki, Jalena, Alena, Alejandro and Gabriella Silva, and Yasmin, Jianni and Dominic Armendariz; and partner, Matthew Gonzales.

David will lie in state at McGilley Antioch Chapel on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, 5pm-7pm, where his family will receive friends and a rosary will be prayed at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Church with a visitation at 8:30am and mass at 9:30am. Graveside services will be held immediately following at Mount Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
