

David Lee Beasley, 66, of Overland Park, Kansas died March 4, 2012 at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park following an extended illness. David was born on July 25, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of David W. and Ada Lee Beasley. He grew up in eastern Kansas, attending elementary school at Pleasant Valley, Stillwell and eventually Wellsville, Kansas where he also graduated from high school as class valedictorian in 1963. Following graduation from high school, David continued his education at Kansas State College in Pittsburg, Kansas, now Pittsburg State University. He served as Treasurer and President of Sigma Chi fraternity while at Pittsburg and graduated with honors in 1967 with a degree in accounting. David joined the accounting firm of Price Waterhouse following his graduation from Pittsburg and rose to partner in the firm after assignments in Battle Creek, Michigan, San Jose, California, Chicago, Illinois, London, England and New York City, New York. After leaving Price Waterhouse, David joined John W. Meara and Company in Kansas City. He then joined the firm CES as President and Chief Executive Officer. David retired from CES to his home in Overland Park. David enjoyed golf at his club at Loch Lloyd and his children and grandchildren in his retirement. He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Overland Park. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Ada Lee Beasley. David is survived by his wife Carol Beasley, his daughters Staci Elkins and Jennifer Rios, and a brother William Beasley. He also leaves four grandchildren Joshua, Emily, Matthew and Derek. Visitation will be 1:00-2:30 p.m. followed by funeral service at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, March 8, at Wesley Covenant Chapel at the Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Avenue, Leawood, Kansas.
