David Eugene Brewer

David Eugene Brewer, born on March 20, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away surrounded by his family on December 24, 2025, at the age of 83. Known for his generous and loving nature, David was a beloved member of his community.

Dave was born to Fern and Eloise Brewer and grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Southeast High School in Kansas City and upon graduating in 1965, he joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served honorably for four years.

After his military service, Dave began a long and fulfilling career at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Over 40 years, he worked as an installer and held many other roles until his retirement in 2005. In retirement, he pursued his passion for worldwide cruises and relished the time spent with his family.

A devoted sports fan, Dave had a passion for Kansas City's sporting events, from the Royals and Chiefs to College Football. He was known to treat his neighbors like family and enjoyed his nightly glass of wine or tea.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Raintree Village and Phoenix Hospice for the care and support they provided Dave in his final days.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Fern and Eloise Brewer, and his brothers, Larry and Steve. He is survived by his brother, Rick (Pam); his nephew, Shannon; his nieces, Tracy, Jennifer, and Ashley; and many grand nieces and nephews.
