David was born April 18, 1962 to Frank Robert and Patricia Cameron Hass. David was the youngest of three brothers, Paul R. and Mark C. Hass. As a young man, David loved being outdoors. He was very involved with swimming and loved his bicycle. Following graduating Shawnee Mission West high school class of 1980, he pursued acting class to see the film industry. He was successful at getting a role on the show “Baywatch” which he always had great memories of the people he made friends with on set.
Following 9 years of hollywood he then moved back home to pursue other things. He had a passion for helping his community and loved doing volunteer work to help and loved helping with the local homeless with Project 1020, which he made many friends.
David is survived by son, Mark R. Hass and his wife, Ashley M. Hass, and three grandchildren of Overland Park. He had a very strong bond with Project 1020, a local shelter where Barb and Marc McEver became his best friends.
A celebration of life memorial service for David will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133, followed by a visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
