David G. Lopez

David G. “Chango” Lopez, 29, a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Missouri Westside, passed away on Sunday July 8, 2007. Visitation will be from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 14 at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 West Linwood Boulevard, Kansas City. Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Guadalupe Church, 2544 Madison, Kansas City, Missouri following visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Esperanza Contreras Educational Fund c/o McGilley Midtown Chapel.

David was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 10, 1977 to David B. Medina and Monica Lopez Murray. He was employed at Qualserve as a shipping clerk. Survivors include his parents; a step-father, Curtis L. Murray of Shawnee, Kansas; brothers, Chris Lopez, Sr., Roberto “B.J.” Ramirez both of Shawnee, Kansas and Kris Caudill of New Albany, Indiana; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee T. Lopez, Sr. of Kansas City, Kansas; and his “Angel” daughter, Esperanza Contreras; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and life long family friends. It’s beyond belief where David found the time and effort through phone calls, emails and text messages to keep close to everyone. David will be dearly missed in our hearts.
