David Charles Treece, 61, of Overland Park, KS, passed away May 24, 2010. A Memorial Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, June 5, at McGilley State Line Chapel. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Chapel Kansas City Missions, 7113 West 135th St., Suite 284, Overland Park, KS 66223.
David was born Feb. 7, 1949 in St. Louis, MO. He was a volunteer Fireman and joined the West Overland Fire Department from 1968-1973. David then worked for the Federal Government, GSA and EPA, in Facilities Management, and most recently worked for St. Andrews Golf Course. David loved the game of golf and witnessing about the salvation of Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Lewis. Survivors include his wife, Mary; son, David Treece, and wife, Kara, of St. Peters, MO; daughter, Crystal Dody, and husband, Joe, of St. Charles, MO; step-son, Chad Gerlt, of Kansas City, MO; 4 grandchildren: McKenna, Madison, Chloe, and Gannon; 3 brothers, Herbert, Donald, and Phillip; and many family members and friends.
