Debra Lynn Zalewski-Hodges

Debi grew up in Grandview, MO and graduated from Ruskin High School. She then went to UMKC graduating with a degree in Education. She worked for the Dahmler-Chrysler Corporation.

Debi shared the last twelve years of her life with her husband, Calvin Hodges. Her "fur-babies" were her children. She had many throughout her life and loved them dearly. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She loved shopping. She enjoyed family gatherings, always eager to attend events of her nieces and nephews and Calvin's grandchildren. Debi's caring and generous spirit will be cherished as someone who greatly valued her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin Hodges and his children: Wendy and Matthew; Calvin’s grandchildren: Aleson, Joey, Allannah and Calen; Calvin’s great-grandchildren: Alex, Hayden, Kristin Jr2, Dominik and Autumn; her father, Jerry Zalewski; her mother, Harriet Boggess; two sisters, Christine Sabin (Craig) and their children Adam and Taylor Sabin; one great-nephew, Ezekiel Sabin; sister, Jenna Kopitas (Speros) and their children, Lauren and Ava Kopitas; brother, Jerry Zalewski Jr (Melinda) and their children, Madelyn and Owen Zalewski; her aunt, Judy Hawken; and cousins, Mike Hawken, Jodi Hendrix, Marcia Smith and Bernie Smith.

A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM, with a service at 2 PM, on Friday, January 24 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO.
